Generic Social Outcomes

The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council has added new guidance and tools on the Generic Social Outcomes to the Inspiring Learning for All website. These tools may be useful for potential Archive Pace Setter projects in measuring success against the outcomes:
- Stronger and safer communities
- Health and well-being
- Strengthening public life

Sharper Investment for Changing Times

Open Book of Social Innovation

It is not only the archive sector that is seeking to explore new ways of working, The Open Book of Social Innovation is a fascinating report on innovation in the field of social economy, published in March 2010. The report results from a collaboration between NESTA (the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) and the Young Foundation and was written by Robin Murray, Julie Caulier-Grice and Geoff Mulgan. It brings together examples of new forms of co-operation and collaboration from around the world, from complaints choirs to crowd-funding.

Archive Awareness Campaign 2010

The theme for the Archive Awareness Campaign 2010 has now been announced. Events and activities will be focused around "Discovery" - Archives in Science, Technology & Medicine
If you are considering activities exploring the use of the archive to support teaching in the science curriculum for the first time, or are targeting new audiences, then perhaps your project is eligible to become an Archive Pace Setter!
