Archives and the Heritage Lottery Fund: Working with Young People
The Archives for Education and Learning Group of the Society of Archivists and the National Council on Archives, in partnership with the Heritage Lottery Fund, ran a one-day event at the British Library on Monday 6 April 2009.

· Would you like to know about how to apply for the Heritage Lottery Fund’s ‘Your Heritage’ and ‘Young Roots’ programmes?
This event was aimed at archivists looking to work with young people, archive education officers looking for funding opportunities, educators seeking to work with archives, or anyone with a general interest in how to encourage young people to use archives.
The day included presentations from the Heritage Lottery Fund, workshop sessions, and case study presentations from 'Archive Adventures' (Whitechapel Gallery), 'Grove Roots' and 'Hoxne Gold' .
The event cost £35 for members of the Society of Archivists and £45 for non members.
